When a food is not in the database, you can create your own. You just need to know its energy (kJ or Cal) per serve.
To create a food and log it in your diary:
- In the Diary screen, tap a meal, e.g. Breakfast, to open the meal to which you want to add the food.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap the plus (+).
- Tap My Foods.
- Tap the plus (+) at the bottom of the list.
- Type the food details. NOTE: Only Name, Serving Size and Energy are mandatory.
- At the top of the screen, tap Add.
- When asked 'Add <food> to diary now?' tap OK.
- To enter the quantity, tap the amount box and type a number and then tap a measure (e.g. g).
- At the top of the screen, tap Add.
- To return to your diary, at the top of the screen, tap the meal name.
NOTES:
- To use this food again in your diary, open the meal to which you want to add it, tap the plus (+), and tap the My Foods tab. It will be listed there in alphabetical order.
- If you want to edit the food, access the food by tapping the menu button ()
- on Android, or the More button (...) on iOS, then tapping My Foods, and tapping the food name.
